Data Fetcher has thousands of users and several hundred paying customers. We’re at $23,000 MRR with just one full-time employee (me!) and some part-time contractors.
Since we last spoke, the business has grown from $6,000 to $23,000 in MRR.

HeldThe Airtable marketplace accounts for about 50% of new leads.
So we have a real benefit just from being on the marketplace and we get a steady stream of pretty qualified leads just from being in a fairly small marketplace and that’s probably about 50% of our new leads.
But outside of that we do content marketing, so we focus on integration landing pages with full tutorials within them so focusing on kind of seo for those and then each tutorial will have a youtube video that goes with it so people can learn kind of however they prefer and the volume’s really low
and then another big part of it has been the free plan so because people can see the tutorials see the video and then just try it themselves
HeldSEO'd integration landing pages and the free plan make up the rest of the new leads.

HeldAndy Cloke hired a freelance content creator to run the Data Fetcher YouTube channel.
The first hire was a freelance content creator who makes all the videos for Data Fetcher’s YouTube channel. This has worked well, since YouTube is much less competitive than SEO for our target topics, and the videos convert well.

HeldInside Data Fetcher, AI shows up as integrations (OpenAI).
Data Fetcher's no-code Airtable integrations connect to dozens of applications like OpenAI, Google Analytics & Facebook Ads.
So being able to use, yeah, an integration tool like Data Fetcher to connect to Anthropic and generate, you know, the intro paragraph, whatever it is, being able to take old content and update it or repurpose it for, you know, hundreds or thousands of blog posts, it feels like the next kind of step
HeldAndy Cloke stated that his next step is customers using Data Fetcher to call Anthropic to generate and repurpose content at scale.

acquirer signal
HeldAndy Cloke publicly declined to sell Data Fetcher.
People often ask if I’d sell Data Fetcher, but I don’t see the point at this stage. I’ve created my perfect job: I love working on it, making more money than I ever have, and getting to enjoy the biggest benefit of a lifestyle business: lifestyle!
On top of this, I do not think it’s worth selling at this stage of ARR. If I sold now for a typical multiple, I could probably buy a home, but it would not be enough to stop working.
Over the next couple of years, I want to hit 1000 customers and $500k in ARR. The aim is to do this whilst keeping the team very lean and getting money out of the business into index funds. This is my strategy for reducing platform risk: diversify the profits, not the product.
HeldAt Andy Cloke's ARR, a typical multiple would buy a house but not retirement.
